Please read and e-sign this consent form prior to your appointment, and also watch the YouTube information video we send you a link to, as it contains very useful information.  If you have any questions about the form or video we will happily answer them on the day of your procedure, alternatively, please send us an email.

Whilst our no-scalpel vasectomy technique has a rapid recovery with minimal downtime we still recommend taking a week off work if your job involves heavy lifting or straining. If light duties are available at your workplace you should be fine to return after 1-2 days. Please ask us for a medical certificate on the day of your vasectomy, and specify the days you would like off work. We can also provide your partner a carers certificate if they have taken the day off to drive you to your appointment.

Using the guide image below, please shave your scrotum either the evening before or the morning of your procedure.

The easiest way is in the shower with shaving cream and a razor.

We don’t recommend hair removal creams or waxing, as these can irritate the skin. If you’re using electric clippers, just be careful — they can sometimes cause more small cuts than a razor.

Shave the front, sides and underneath of your scrotum as well as the base of your penis. There’s no need to shave the upper pubic area, as this will be covered with a drape during the procedure. This area can get quite itchy as it grows back and prone to ingrown hairs. Our aim is to make the entire process as dignified and comfortable as possible.
